STEWARDSHIP-
TIME, TALENT, & TREASURE......
On any given day we are faced with many requests for our time, talent and treasures. We must constantly assess our ability to meet these requests. As an individual, or family you need to ask how your actions are helping make this world a better place.
God gives all of us gifts to share. Please take a few minutes to review and complete our talent survey. (Link provided over the rose.)
Then return the survey to the parish via the collection basket. Please help us make St. Christopher's a better place!
Q. Who are we? We are the Stewardship Ministry at St. Christopher's.
Q. What do we do? We support our Parish Community by enhancing Stewardship at St. Christopher's. That is our mutual sharing of Time, Talent, and Treasure.
Q. How do we do this? Mainly by communicating the needs of the Parish Community to the various Ministries and Staff at St. Christopher's. In turn, we also communicate the opportunities at St. Christopher's to the Parish Community. These opportunities include serving in the various ministries as a member of a team, committee, or a project.
Q. How is this communication done? The Stewardship Ministry provides an ongoing survey form available at the entrances to the Church. It is on yellow paper, folded in half. The survey asks for your input regarding your interests and needs. General information is also provided on the Parish Web Site. You may also see inserts into the Parish Bulletin from time to time.
Q. What happened to the information I provided in the Survey? The information was tabulated and provided to the St. Christopher's Ministry that could best use your input. If you volunteered to be on a committee or project, that Ministry will contact you directly.
Q. What talents or skills do I need to participate in the Stewardship Ministry? Mainly an interest in sharing your time and talents. If your calling is more toward getting new things started and seeing a project through, consider joining the Stewardship Committee. If your calling is to help out with a specific project, let us know and we will contact you as projects are started.
Q. What is the time commitment to be on the Stewardship Committee? We meet as needed on weekday evenings for a little over an hour. How often depends on what we have taken on, but normally about once per month.
Q. How much time will it take to participate in a project? As little or much as you have. We will communicate what needs to be done and you determine what you can take on.
Q. What will I receive as a participant in the Stewardship Ministry? For starters, a deeper sense of belonging to the St. Christopher' Community, especially if you are new to the Parish. The Stewardship Ministry supports most other Ministries at St. Christopher's, so there are opportunities to learn more about St. Christopher's and who we are. You will meet people in the Parish you may not know. But most important, by sharing your time and talents, you help St. Christopher's meet the needs of others, including your needs.
Q. How do I get involved? You can call one of the committee members listed below, fill out a survey form, or call the Rectory.
Q. Do I need to make a decision now or during a particular time period? No, we welcome your involvement at any time, now, or in the future whenever you are able to help out.
My Church is composed of people like me. I help make it what it is.
It will be friendly, if I am.
Its pews will be filled, if I help fill them.
It will do great work, if I work.
It will make generous gifts to many causes, if I am a generous giver.
It will bring other people into worship and fellowship, if I invite and bring them.
It will be a church of loyalty and love, of fearlessness and faith, and a church with a noble spirit, if I, who make it what it is, am filled with these same things.
Therefore, with the help of God, I shall dedicate myself to the task of being all the things that I want my church to be. Amen.
